Project OS

An internal operating system for managing product and engineering work end to end.

In DevelopmentVersionPreview

Overview

Project OS is ETES's internal operating system for product and engineering work. Architecture decisions are recorded as ADRs from the start, since Project OS is itself an early proving ground for the ADR Standard.

The Problem

Product and engineering work is often scattered across separate tools, and the reasoning behind past decisions gets lost once the people involved move on.

Who It's For

Engineering and product teams who want their work items and architecture decisions tracked in one place.

How It Helps

Project OS centralizes work tracking and captures architecture decisions as ADRs from the start, so both current status and past reasoning stay visible to the team.

Capabilities

Work Tracking

Centralizes product and engineering work items in one system.

Decision Recording

Captures architecture decisions as ADRs from the earliest stages of a project.

Modules

Workspace Module

Organizes projects, tasks and their current status.

ADR Module

Records architecture decisions with their context and trade-offs.

Business Outcomes

Potential outcomes for teams using this product — not a guarantee of results.

Standardize Processes

Reduce dependency on individuals, personal spreadsheets and informal workflows.

Increase Productivity

Move skilled employees away from repetitive work toward higher-value work.
