Standards Framework

What a standard is and how standards are categorized.

Versionv1.04 min read

A standard is a versioned, owned document that engineering work is checked against — not an informal guideline.

What a standard is

Every standard has an owner, a version, and a status, and is checked against the Master Registry rather than living only in a person's memory.

How standards are categorized

Standards are grouped by discipline — Foundation, Engineering, Architecture, Quality, Delivery and Operations — matching how the Standards page presents them.

Standard status values

A standard is Official once adopted, Frozen when stable and no longer actively revised, or still In Development.
